MAHOGANY RISE PRIMARY SCHOOL

A new way to live and a new way to learn

Principal’s Welcome

Thank you for visiting the Mahogany Rise Primary School website.

I am very proud to be the Principal at Mahogany Rise!

My family has a long connection with Frankston North education. My Grandfather was the Assistant Principal on this site in the 1970s when it was known as Monterey Primary School, and my Grandmother worked briefly at Monterey Secondary College too. Both of my parents taught at Aldercourt Primary School, with mum becoming the Principal there in the early 2000s. And now me! A proud history that’s for sure.

I started my time at Mahogany Rise in 2019, and since then we have seen some significant changes to the school. A brand new Junior and Administration building, connected to the Mahogany Rise Child and Family Centre, provides our students with the best start to their schooling lives.

The original school building has been extensively renovated, with 4 new senior learning spaces, reading and maths intervention rooms and a huge breakout, library area. This building also houses our commercial grade kitchen to provide our students with healthy lunches and snacks every day.

Our grounds have also been updated, with three new playgrounds, shade sails and a soon-to-be fabulous grassed area to run or kick the footy (another passion of mine!).

Our School expectations; Be a Learner, Be Respectful and Be Safe, provide the cornerstone of our teaching and learning at Mahogany Rise. You will see these proudly displayed in our front entrance, along with our House Teams; Forster Fireballs, Lacenet Lightning, Monterey Mustangs and Jenkens Giants, that support our extensive wellbeing programs.

Our dedicated teachers and co-educators are simply fabulous. Being a small school allows for staff to build a strong relationship with every child and family, to ensure the best educational and wellbeing outcomes for all students.

If you would like a school tour, please contact the school on 9786 3211, I would be delighted to take you for a personal tour of our great little school.
